I need a break from the cold and stress of maintaining The Castle. Maine is lovely and a protective environment. I just need a few days away for comparison. A seminar at NYU today was a nice way to escape for a bit.
Dr. James Gilligan of ‘violence’ studies fame and Kathy Boudin of Weather Underground fame were presenters at the seminar. The event was well attended by social workers and NYU students. I learned a lot. At lunch afterwards I had one on one time with Gilligan.
My host, Kendall Atterbury, and I spent the afternoon cruising the City. Good times.
