Timing is Everything

There’s a day of wet snow covering all around. The SAAB sits low in the driveway. I need to clear the white stuff sufficiently to free the car so I can power it down the driveway and onto the road. My favorite mechanic in Union has two new mufflers in his shop. We have a 3 P.M. appointment.
I am leaving Maine for a trip like i did last year. Then, I left in October and returned in January 2013. Upon my return I discovered my marriage was finished. 2013 was spent being preoccupied with divorce as well as re examining my life with my partners.
So, I am taking another trip. This one to seek a destination of warmth and safety. I will be making judgments along the road of all the places that capture my fancy. I may even catch a space ‘A’ flight and travel to places in Southeast Asia. I want to go somewhere remote and peaceful and warm.
Today I shovel snow. Tomorrow and Sunday I sort, pack, and stow items in the SAAB. Monday I change out the studded snow tires for highway tires and leave.
That’s what it says on this page.

  1. Don’t forget to stop and walk around every few hours. And be careful of road food (excepting Raines). You’re doing we what i should be doing, except the free flight to South Asia. Drive safe.

  2. Safe travels and have a fun time! I wish I could join you for a portion of the trip πŸ™‚ I will have to settle with pictures lol.
