See…now if everyone had a gun do you believe the world would be safer than if no one had a gun? The second amendment leads us into the situation where everyone is allowed to have a gun. I can’t come up with the strategy to change a constitutional amendment but I can pretty well use my imagination and the first amendment to declare that the second amendment is not a good idea. Here is what my imagination declares.
Of course this illustration is not what would be happening as long as people were behaving. But people don’t behave do they? People are people and eventually someone would have a conflict with another person and before you know it, if everyone had a gun, this is what would happen.
So on the continuum of no guns to everyone owning a gun which would you prefer? At least tell me what would you expect to be the most comfortable place to be along the continuum as stated? Closer to ‘no guns’ or closer to ‘unlimited guns’. Don’t rush…think it over and get back to me.
