Here is one I can’t ignore any longer. I like it but it needs a brushing up or something.
Peace out,

Spring!
NOW AND FOREVER MORE AMEN
I sit in my big soft chair
Gazing above the false horizon
Set by the trees and shrubs growing
Outside my window.
I pick a spot on the blue
Of the sky and I lose
Myself in the beauty
And peace of it all.
A breeze moves the leaves
And gently sways the
Branches in my field of
Vision.
The sun heats the earth’s
Atmosphere on one side
Only because that is
How it works.
That side gets hot and moves
Toward the cold side using
Air currents and this
Makes the wind.
Understandably the wind
Blows at night
As well, well… because the
Earth is round.
Not too hard to figure out
If you just think about
It and you don’t
Hold back.
Oh by the way
There is no sky to
Look at because
It is just space.
The light from the sun
Loses parts of its
Spectrum as it passes
Through the stuff surrounding Earth.
What is left to see
Is the blue that we
Lovingly refer to as
Sky.
So sky is also in our
Lungs, mouth, nose
Between our legs
And ears.
Smokers blow sky out mixed
With smoke and other
Contaminants that
Poison all of us.
Someday the sky will be empty
Of all the objects humans
Have discovered
So far.
Our sun is getting older and
Colder and will eventually
Grow huge enough to eat
All its planets.
Then the sun will go away
Someplace cold and nearly
Empty of stuff you can
See.
I hope you are not surprised
To find this out
Since it has been
Happening forever.
Don’t be surprised to
Find out this is
Happening right now
Universally.
I sit in this big chair
Watching all that I
Know disappearing and
I join in.
