The best writing about ‘love’ I’ve seen for a long while. Thanks, Natalia.
Here I’d like to quote something by Oscar Wilde.
“When one is in love, one always begins by deceiving one’s self, and one always ends by deceiving others. That is what the world calls a romance.”
The Picture of Dorian Gray
Another thought, while I’m on the subject: I’ve experienced a change in thought about love when someone asks, “Do you love me?” I think it is a variation of the “Hawthorne Effect”. The Observer Effect speaks to this. You will need to google it. When the subject changes their thinking regarding the behavior that is being observed. It happens when the subject thinks, becomes aware, about that which is being observed.
“Do you love me?”
“Hmm…I did.”
