Playing Fair and Being Kind

PEOPLE IN HELL WANT ICE-WATER!

A common response to any boat-sailor* beginning a sentence with the words, “I want”.

• I want to eat food that doesn’t contribute to my early death.
• I want to be able to carry my weight easily on my own two feet.
• I want to be able to breathe and walk and climb stairs without wheezing.
• I want to have enough money to live with dignity and be able to lend some to others.
• I want to be held closely and told that I make someone happy.
• I want to live long enough to see those who deny me opportunities to face justice.
• I want to own a car that is reliable and is safe to drive.
• I want to live in a structure that has a quiet place that I can retreat to at will.
• I want to have a piece of land to grow food without pesticides and poisonous water.
• I want to know that every person on earth is afforded these same conditions.
• I want to be able to travel long distances on conveyances which are safe and comfortable.
• I want to have my friends close to me.
• I want to be able to read anything ever published whenever I want to.
• I want to be able to send messages to our elected leaders and have them read/heard.
• I want to have a dog of my own choosing.
• I want to be able to have a dog of my own choosing and be able to afford the care of it.
• I want to trust the police.
• I want to trust the military.
• I want to trust my doctor.
• I want to trust the treasury department of this country.
• I want to trust the plumber and the electrician.
• I want to trust everyone.
• I want to trust that all of the people on earth can trust others as well.
• I want Scot to get better.
• I want Mark to get better.
• I want Nina to get better.
• I want my children to forgive me.
So, there you have it.
*Boat-sailor is another word for Submariners.
