So much is said!

I haven’t heard from you for a while. I’m curious.

So nice to hear from you! A couple of months ago I told my mom, when she asked how I was feeling, that it was looking like she was going to out-live me. Immediately, she became concerned about who would take my place. It wasn’t hard to assure her that I was almost done making the necessary re-arrangements so that all of her bills would get paid. Soon, I received good-bye emails from both my son’s. This came as an unwelcome surprise: I wasn’t ready to tell them, or, to tell them at all. Now, I will just have to let Circumstances Beyond My Control sort it all out.
“ Un-assailable from all sides, but one, I am a cat seeking refuge in an oval, back-bathroom, sink.”

So, the proverbial Pandora’s box, eh?
Curious how the ends, the two ends, of a life become compressed like that. When we are newborn so much goes on and gets discussed through all the senses with those who are close to us. Then as we approach the other end how so much goes on and gets discussed through all the senses with those who are close to us. Like magic!
Your poem about the cat in the sink is welcome. A sink is a good place to hole-up.
