KISSING DENISE LEVERTOV
This lovely face is reading to me with sexy lips and
A voice that soothes and beckons,
Her words speak directly to my inner being,
Her mouth is drawing me toward dangerous
Navigational hazards hidden in a swirling sea of
Passion.
My blistering heart is bursting through my clothing
To reach out with hands and fingers to feel,
Caress, fondle, stroke, slide over and under,
I can smell her sweet breath and soft esses as she
Speaks words of love.
She is talking to me only.
I pull myself away from this film of Denise Levertov
Reading her poems to a group of young students,
This day, today, is many decades afterward but
We are all sitting together watching this beauty
Perform and send secret messages to light my fire.
I rush to tell Lou, “I want to kiss you”.
