Stress-free Love Affair
Sitting comfortably at Gold Coast Bagel
Enjoying all of my treasures,
The gifted tote bag, the automobile
Squatting next to me, this snack; tasting of
Salt and coffee
Passing from table to gut,
The poetry on the tiny screen
In my hand. Everything I see and touch and
Taste and swallow fits word
By syllable by vowel,
Constant consonants in my ear and
On my eye, tongue,
Like coffee and
Salt,
Or cotton and fleece on the alpaca
Image on the tote or the leather seats.
Having lived long,
Recording what I’ve mined,
Turning the pieces over
And over to detail an
Index of
Descriptors.
The task gives back a sense of
Appreciation,
Of completion,
Of loving teamwork.
