It all began at the speed of sound,
He heard her voice and turned to see
In time to be struck by the speed of light,
Before they knew it the pairing came
At the speed of love.
Time passed with the speed of comfort,
Occasioned by the speed of confusion,
Once she looked at him and felt the
Speed of doubt followed by the speed of
Acceptance.
One day the speed of boredom toppled
The speed of comfort,
Next day the speed of tired blocked
The speed of desire,
The speed of hurt hurt.
The speed of resentment drove the problem
Further into the ground at the speed of snark,
Upon which the speed of verbs, and adjectives,
And modifiers came at the speed of angry,
They sat down together at the speed of regret.
The speed of tears and sobs broke the barriers
Formerly erected at the speed of relationship,
Complete surrender came at the speed of sad
And sorry,
The make-up sex came at the speed of undressing.
Two people rushed to damage control at
The speed of reconcile,
The healing commenced at the speed of sharing,
Followed closely by the speed of listening
With third party help.
A swirl of sound, light, love,
Passion, sharing, listening,
Comfort, acceptance, reliance, relationship
Blew into the spaces held open by each at the
Speed of two.
