I am not grandstanding. I realize the salvation of the world lies in defeating the male chauvinist pig. I hope this statement is not a conversation killer. What I have observed over my life time is that men have been in control (poor descriptive verb) of our world forever and now our world is in danger of being destroyed by all of the decisions men have made. I can see that power, greed, fear, perceived helplessness have steered our economy and culture toward a one-way trip to endless wars and an uncaring attitude toward our populations. Help!
What I need is to better understand the one thread that will adjust all other pieces of the social fabric that we are forced to live with. This is where I am beginning.

If you are reading this feel free to leave suggested sources that will inform me and others who want to end the patriarchy’s hold on the direction the world has traveled. This is a revolution. Not the first of its kind, to be sure. This is my personal effort to be an ally of those who are throwing off the oppressive mantles of the patriarchy. Men are incapable of leading the various tribes of the world toward a sustainable and peaceful way of life. Through the leadership of men all of us have become subject to the dangers of wars. I’m convinced that with the present power structure none of us will survive much longer. There are so many oppressed populations in existence it will be difficult to gain the trust of all. Intersectionality will need to be addressed. Amends need to be made. Understandings need to be examined. Empathy has to be discovered. There are many tasks for us all to list and start performing.
