This scene repeats and never is without joy. The first joy of the early Spring! I just came back in from a mini-tour of The Castle grounds. I discovered the snowdrops where just a few days ago were piles of snow. It always joins the child within with my present day mind. The sight always brings me to life as much as the first time. What a gift!

Now I must add this last copy of the poem which was inspired by this planting some years ago.
With Feeling!
Some rowdy gang of senses delivers a rush I’ve missed lo
These many weeks,
Sound of wind,
Sight of gulls flung across the salty chop,
Inhaling the living earth I bow to a Snowdrop.
Hoarsely…my heart whispers,
“Spring!”
